Et si vous pouviez faire du ski sur le toit de votre immeuble ? C’est possible pour certains habitants d’Astana au Kazakhstan grâce à la Slalom House, une étonnante initiative du cabinet d’architecture Shokhan Mataibekov Architects. La Slalom House est une piste de ski urbaine de 305m de long, s’enroulant autour d’un immeuble au coeur de la ville d’Astana au Kazakhstan. Pour permettre aux résidents de l’immeuble de skier toute l’année, des canons à neige Snoflex ont été installés tout le long de la piste. Le dispositif a été imaginé par le célèbre cabinet d’architecture Shokhan Mataibekov Architects – finaliste du World Architecture Festival 2015. Des espaces de détente ont été conçus en bas de la piste pour offrir aux résidents un véritable espace de loisirs. The project’s idea is to create a unique complex with a slalom course on a basis of a residential building. The advantages of constructing such a complex are: Uniqueness – an artificially created ski slope in a city located in a steppe would be the first of its kind and can, therefore, become one of the capital’s attractions. Additional entertainment and leisure for people and easy accessibility in the city centre. Economy – the only costs to be covered are the slope’s pavement, services and utility equipping and elevators. Also, the building would profit from lower costs of the lifting equipment’s construction. Sustainability – the use of a residential complex’s roof as a renewable land resource is a relevant approach to the international “green” program.
